A Touching Testimony That Brought A Lump In My Throat

This week has been a sad week for a lonlt of people in the country and rugby league's circle with the loss of a humble Papuan rising star.
He had touched people of all walks of life in Papua New Guinea and abroad.
And most people talked of his humblesness and smile that brightened up the room.
He was a silent achiever and had that unintentional effect of drawing people to him.
I met him a couple of times through my involvement with the Rugby League World matches as a Master of Ceremony and that is what I picked out straight away. His humblesness.
Now the Nation mourns his sudden loss.

Wangbin Primary School Celebrate World Environment Day

Wangbin Primary School Tabubil, Western Province, today celebrated World Environment Day with activities that lasted the whole day. The students and teachers were out in full force with activities such as Poem reading, environmental song performance, poster and drawing displays and so forth. Here are lyrics of a song that was sung at the occasion by the grade 5 pupils. It is called Environment and was written by Mr Neville Unduko, an expressive arts teacher. Tabubil

Well it's been awhile since I've written something. Maybe because I've been moving around so much, I didn't seem to have the time to write up something. Anyway, I am now in Tabubil, Western Province, Papua New Guinea. I work as a Broadcaster with Radio Fly, a radio station that services the OKTEDI Mining Limited staff & contractors as well as the communities that benefit directly or indirectly from the resource. It's been what, four months now since I joined and it's been good so far. I must admit it is quite different from commercial radio but it's a different challenge at that. The radio station I work for comes under the Community Relations Department of OKTEDI Mining Limited . Anyway, Tabubil is a small organised town compared to other small towns in the country.
