Weather Mayhem

Happy New Year to you. Just turned on the television this morning and I couldn't help notice that there is weather mayhem around the world.

America and Britain are experiencing massive flooding leaving millions of dollars in damages.
Australia too is facing cyclone warnings in the northern tip causing flooding and  heatwaves causing bushfires in parts of the country.

Solomon Islands is also experiencing strong winds due to a cyclone warning. This causing problems for the passenger shipping services in the country.

Meanwhile in Papua New Guinea, the rain is been welcomed despite the huge awareness and warnings of the El Nino.
It was reported that the dry season would last till July this year. Well that is now history as the rain which is most probably the back-hand brought of the cyclones and strong winds in the surrounding regions.
All I can say is "that's just what we needed!"

Wangbin Primary School Celebrate World Environment Day

Wangbin Primary School Tabubil, Western Province, today celebrated World Environment Day with activities that lasted the whole day. The students and teachers were out in full force with activities such as Poem reading, environmental song performance, poster and drawing displays and so forth. Here are lyrics of a song that was sung at the occasion by the grade 5 pupils. It is called Environment and was written by Mr Neville Unduko, an expressive arts teacher. Interesting Times For People of Orokolo Bay

 Hi all it's been a while since I blogged.  Kinda got busy do other things and this just took the backseat, so I have more time on my hands now so I thought I'd return and write something. Alot has been happening and I really don't know where to start. But one thing that comes immediately to my mind is the recent Landowner Benefit Identification (LOBID) process that is in progress right now in the Gulf Province of Papua New Guinea. The  LOBID process is an important process to ensure the landowners of the Papua LNG project are recognised to benefit from this multimillion kina project. In fact the process is underway as I write this.  This is the verifying stage where all ILG lists are confirmed before it goes to the Development Forum where the Minister for Petroleum and Energy announces or makes the Ministerial Determination.
